Cemetery Screening of Bram Stoker’s Dracula

Join your friends and neighbors at Sunnyside Cemetery for a creepy screening of Bram Stoker’s Dracula on October 15. Tickets are $15 (plus a service fee) if you purchase them online or $15 at the door. If you’re a member at Frida Cinema, admission is free. Proceeds from ticket sales support Sunnyside Cemetery and the Frida Cinema. Food trucks will be on-site, and you can bring chairs, picnic baskets, and blankets.

Dark Harbor 2017

Get your scare on at the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor 2017 event. With new mazes – even a new one right on the ship – and plenty of ghouls, ghosts, and goblins, this year’s Dark Harbor is really amazing. Call 877-342-0738 for more information.

22nd Annual Historical Cemetery Tour

On October 28, 2017, you can join the 22nd annual Historical Cemetery Tour. The tour runs through the city’s oldest cemeteries: Sunnyside Cemetery and Long Beach Municipal Cemetery. You’ll see graveside presentations by actors who talk about the lives and demises of some of the cemeteries’ residents. The tour is family-friendly – no scary stuff involved. The tour lasts about 2 hours, and you can begin buying tickets from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade

On Sunday, October 29, watch the area’s most precious pooches parade in and out of Marina Vista Park. The parade runs along the concrete bike path from Colorado Street to Eliot Street. There’s a pet adoption fair between 12:30 and 4:30, too. If you’re going to be part of the human costume parade (it’s open to adults and kids) or if you’re registering your own four-legged family member, register in the orange tent in the park after 12:30 p.m. The parade lasts about 45 minutes, and organizers expect more than 400 dogs to show up.
